Job Summary

VSolvit has an immediate opening for a System Engineer to support our Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona Division customer in Norco, California. The Navy Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of complex systems and infrastructure critical to Navy operations. The role involves working on a variety of systems, including combat, communication, navigation, and surveillance systems. The Systems Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that systems meet Navy operational requirements and function reliably in mission-critical environments.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Use multiple databases to determine RM&A metrics and assess systems readiness.
  • Combine and integrate all failure data to analyze and assess a single system, multi system, or system of systems readiness.
  • Develop and document a single system or system of systems reliability models and criteria for scoring system failure events.
  • Research and create assessment criteria's for navy systems.
  • Use readiness assessment tools, Navy or Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS).
  • Learn and use the established data editing process including data reviews, data extraction and data loading.

Requirements

  • Relevant Engineering Degree and 2-3 years of experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels.
  • Knowledge of probability theory and its application in the field of reliability, maintainability, and availability (RM&A).
  • Knowledge of Navy organization, structure, ship classes, and shipboard systems.
  • Have analytical and problem-solving skills, able to manage complex projects and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be willing to work on site in Norco, California
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance
