What you'll be doing...

The Consumer Growth Marketing organization is responsible for creating marketing strategies driven by consumer, industry, and performance insights. Our team is responsible for leading cross functional marketing initiatives for the Verizon Consumer Group. We create holistic strategies that consider the entire business and integrated marketing approaches that drive incremental growth for both Mobile and Home lines of business. This role on the Acquisition Strategy and Product Marketing team will work closely with business sponsors and Marketing organization teams to develop marketing strategies, plans through execution.

The focus of this role will be to develop a strategic vision that achieves desired results for Verizon while influencing cross functional teams to execute aligned, actionable plans. You will impact the business as a thought leader: creating and driving the customer-centric marketing approaches that bring the right message to the right consumer at the right moment in time. You'll strategize, plan, and manage large and small campaigns by analyzing research and insights to build strategic direction, clearly and concisely communicating strategic vision including senior level presentations, and leading cross functional teams independently to execute those plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear marketing strategies at contextually relevant moments in time- including creation of strategic briefs that clearly connect target audience buying motivators, product portfolio integration and approach for impactful consumer messaging across Mobile and Home.

  • Create compelling solutions from our portfolio (network, value prop + perks, products, accessories) that target specific high opportunity audiences to drive incremental Verizon growth as part of overarching targeted marketing approach.

  • Influence and lead stakeholders across various functional responsibilities and levels of the business to align to new ways of thinking in order to achieve short and long term goals.

  • Drive strategic thought leadership throughout marketing planning for the Verizon Consumer Group.

  • Develop creative solutions to complex problems through in-depth evaluation of data and situation analyses across various factors.

  • Work independently to manage your projects from start to finish: clear conception of strategy and campaign plan, cross functional coordination to execute on-time and performance evaluation to refine and optimize future campaigns.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

Even better if you have one of more of the following:

    • Experience leading and managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously.

    • The ability to work well with others in large and varied teams.

    • Highly effective communication and presentation skills.

    • An understanding of trends and key business drivers.

    • Presented findings and insights tailored to select audiences (up to and including executives.)

    • Experience working with marketing research, research strategy, or consumer research methodologies.

    • The ability to analyze what's important from a variety of sources to provide a holistic view of the marketplace, competitive factors, risks, and opportunities.

    • The ability to drive work forward with ambiguity and adaptive change.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.
