GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sales Director develops the overall strategy for sourcing and procurement of franchisees for new eyecare centers in the Pearle Vision fleet. The Sales Director will be responsible for overseeing and driving the sales strategy, revenue growth through securing sales of the franchise optical retail stores. This role requires a strategic leader with experience in retail sales, particularly within the optical industry, who can optimize performance across multiple locations. The Sales Director will work closely with the franchise development team to ensure the achievement of sales targets, customer satisfaction, and brand penetration.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Sales Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals through franchise sales.
    • Analyze candidate trends, market conditions, and candidate behavior to adjust strategies and tactics as needed.
    • Set sales targets and performance benchmarks for franchise stores and track progress regularly.
    • Closely monitor market conditions to identify and implement engagement strategies and execute sales plans.


  • Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team
    • Facilitate ongoing training programs to enhance the sales skills and product knowledge of the licensing and development team
    • Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.


  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns that drive sales new candidates to our pipeline.
    • Communicate regularly with the executive team to report on sales pipeline, challenges, and opportunities.


  • Financial & Regulatory Management:

    • Monitor and manage sales budgets, expenses, and profitability for franchise stores.
    • Analyze financial reports and make data-driven decisions to improve sales performance and reduce costs.
    • Completion of franchise candidate application review to ensure the candidate meets the Pearle Vision qualification criteria
    • Implementation and ongoing management of sales process via CRM tool and optimize process efficiencies
    • Ensure compliance with all financial policies and procedures and regulatory laws and legislation.
    • Understands consumer demand - analytics to assess systems needed.
    • Negotiates with key vendors to provide optimal service, quality, price and performance.
    • Manages ongoing vendor relationships, including monitoring key metrics and predetermined KPIs.
    • Collaborates with internal partners




BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in retail sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the optical or related industry.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing multiple retail locations.
  • Strong understanding of retail sales operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales management software.


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience working within a franchise business model.
  • Knowledge of optical products, services, and industry trends.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
