Kennedy Jenks is looking for ambitious achievers to join our 2025 Kickstart Internship Program in Phoenix, Arizona!

As an intern, your work will support project teams providing solutions for water resources, water quality, wastewater and water treatment, and recycled water planning and implementation challenges faced by our water environment, transportation, and industrial sector clients. You will have opportunities to contribute to significant projects across the United States, which may involve fieldwork, technical report preparation and calculations, pre-construction conditions documentation, design plans, and specifications.

A Day in the Life of a Construction Management Intern:



  • Participate in fieldwork (field verification of existing conditions, confirming as-built conditions, written and photographic summaries of fieldwork)
  • Prepare technical reports and calculations
  • Compile documentation
  • Assist with the preparation and interpretation of plans and specifications
  • Interact with clients, designers, owners, contractors, inspectors, and authorities to support project activities
  • Monitor project communications between contractor, owner, and engineer
  • Attend construction and related project meetings, developing and distributing timely meeting agendas and minutes
  • Receive mentorship and advice from experienced professionals


Qualifications:



  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or another related field
  • GIS or CAD experience preferred
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Completion of one year of qualified study


The pay rate for this position is anticipated to be $20 to $25 per hour, and may vary based on education, experience, qualifications, skills, licensure/certifications, seniority, geographic location, and performance.

Benefits Summary:

This internship offers medical insurance for eligible interns.
