Job Summary

The Regulatory Reporting Associate publishes, maintains and files all documentation necessary to meet organizational, industry, and governmental regulatory requirements. This individual will also apply basic theories, skills, and practices to accomplish assignments.

Job Description

What are you going to do?

  • Analyzing an organization's reporting policies & procedures, and providing recommendations to revise existing documentation or develop new documentation that will improve the internal control environment.
  • Compiling various state and federal regulatory agency filings and coordinating quarterly and annual statement mailings.
  • Maintaining and publishing policies, procedures, processes and related documents to reflect the latest revision or release.
  • Communicating new or revised policies, procedures, processes and related documents to appropriate team members and/or business units.
  • Documentation of processes, procedures, governance and controls across reporting entities
  • Update report preparation procedures to include changes due to automation and/or control updates
  • Work with regulatory team leaders to research and document key rule interpretation decisions
  • Document regulatory reporting impact of proposed new business, products and strategic transactions on an ongoing basis in collaboration with LECs
  • Prepare and maintain US GAAP to RAP reconciliation schedules with relevant support
  • Participate in and document interactions with regulators across RBC reporting platform
  • Partner with reporting teams during User Acceptance Testing to ensure control implementation
  • Analyze workflows across reporting teams and work with managers to develop strategic work plans
  • Perform data validation with the goal of developing controls for reporting consistency
  • Oversee manual data sourcing, identify or raise automation initiatives and report progress to management

Must haves:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
  • Broad comprehension of Capital Markets and Financial Services Industry
  • Experience using Axiom or similar regulatory reporting tools
  • Strong Microsoft software Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in US GAAP Financial Statement preparation and Bank Regulatory Reporting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Independent and critical thinker with desire to drive results

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $80,000 - $135,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
