Overview:

The Senior Equipment Technicianwillsupport the assembly and testing of newly manufactured optical systems and sub systems on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities:



  • Assemble, setup, and test complex optical and electro-mechanical subsystems into a higher level system or process module
  • Perform mechanical and software installations, and execute precision set-ups and adjustments following detailed work instructions
  • Diagnose and repair system performance issues using high precision electrical, optical and mechanical test equipment
  • Troubleshoot testing activity discrepancies, and conduct formal test plans
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering as required resolving diverse & complex issues found during Assembly & Test
  • Manage all performance test data associated with source the assembly and testing of the process module
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement. Identify and provide improvements of test methods for existing products and collaborate with Engineering to develop methodologies for new products/components



Qualifications:

Experience commensurate with theassembling, testing and troubleshooting of complex optical and/or laser systems.

Must have at least 6+ years of hands-on experience in testing and troubleshooting complex systems. An Associate's degree in technical engineering, or a technical field service background is preferred.

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:



  • Knowledge of hardware, softwareand control systems
  • Familiar with SAP a plus
  • Proficient with EXCEL and data entry
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface with technicians, engineering, management, sales, and marketing
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidaysand weekends as required to meet company revenue requirement
  • Military experience is a plus



The expected salary range for this position is $69,856.00- $88,484.90, plus bonus opportunity. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
