The Stem Cell Program at Boston Children's Hospital was launched in 2004 under the direction of Leonard Zon, MD and George Q. Daley, MD, PhD. Stem cell research holds great promise for advances in science, medicine, and in the lives of children and adults living with serious diseases. This program's sole mission is to explore, understand, and translate the promise of stem cells into effective clinical therapies and treatments. Under the direct supervision of the Research Administrative Manager, performs pre- and/or post-award functions. Coordinates required institutional reviews and approvals and/or monitors and administers federal and/or state, corporate, and private foundation-sponsored funds, subcontracts, and projects supported by discretionary and endowment funds. May prepare effort reports and financial transactions, and other reports according to established policies and procedures for approval by Department/Division/Program or Research Manager.
