Summary: Troubleshoots, repairs, builds, and installs plant production and support equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to safely and efficiently perform top-quality operational duties on a daily basis which include (but are not limited to) the following:
Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Qualifications: Trained in use and operation of electrical and hydraulic systems. Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical training from the military, vocational/technical school or college.Three years' experience as a technician in an industrial maintenance department. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend sufficient English to follow work instructions and blueprints. Must be able to communicate well verbally with others. Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills associated with the position. Reasoning Ability: Strong reasoning ability to troubleshoot machines. Must work well with little supervision. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be able to achieve and retain a forklift license. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to do some climbing on machines, be able to lift 70 pounds, and stand/walk for extended amounts of time.
