Responsibilities

At PrairieCare, we are committed to providing exceptional psychosocial services to our patients. As a Psychosocial Therapist, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive therapeutic services, enhancing the functioning and well-being of children, adolescents, and adults facing mental health challenges.

What You'll Do:

  • Therapeutic Services: Deliver engaging group therapy, insightful family therapy, and personalized individual therapy tailored to the unique needs of your assigned patients.
  • Diverse Populations: Work with a diverse range of patients, addressing various mental health challenges in children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Collaborative Care: Coordinate care with internal and external providers to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
  • Team Player: Contribute your unique perspective to our interdisciplinary team, utilizing your expertise in family systems and social work theory.
  • Mentorship Opportunities: If qualified, take on supervision responsibilities for master's level interns, fostering the next generation of mental health professionals.
  • Cultural Competence: Bring your knowledge of gender, cultural differences, and age-appropriate care to enhance our services.
  • Ethical Practice: Uphold the highest standards of ethics as required by your licensing board and our facility policies.

Qualifications

  • Education & Licensure: Master's degree and licensure in the State of Minnesota as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Psychologist (LP).
  • Experience: Two years of previous mental health experience strongly preferred, with experience in intensive psychiatric healthcare settings being a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records and Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and Word.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate in both written and verbal forms.
  • Adaptability: Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks and react quickly and calmly as part of a team in volatile or emergency situations.
  • Decision-Making: Capability to make effective decisions while under stress and manage disruptive or explosive patient behavior after training.

Pay range for this position is $82,956 to $110,271 depending on education and experience.

An individual's pay rate within the posted range is determined by several factors, including skills, experience, education, and market conditions. Additionally, we consider internal equity to ensure fairness within our organization.
