Role Summary

As a Senior Associate in Internal Communications at LSEG, you will play a pivotal role in connecting colleagues locally to LSEG's purpose, strategy, and values. You will be accountable for developing and implementing communication strategies that enhance LSEG's reputation as an employer, foster an inclusive culture, and effectively connect with internal customers. Your efforts will support the Americas region, with a focus on our New York site, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with global communication strategies.

What You'll Be Doing

To effectively communicate LSEG's purpose and values, it's essential to tailor global strategies to fit local market dynamics and cultural norms. This involves developing country-specific messaging that resonates with the local audience and conducting thorough research to understand local market dynamics and communication channels.

Using various channels like newsletters, Viva Engage, and internal forums, we can consistently convey LSEG's mission and values. Collaboration with the global communications team ensures that our messaging remains aligned and consistent across all platforms.

Highlighting LSEG's strengths as an employer is important. This includes showcasing our values, benefits, career opportunities, D&I initiatives, and employee testimonials. Implementing employer brand activities, such as encouraging referrals and retention, and supporting recruitment events and university partnerships, further strengthens our position.

Championing LSEG values involves fostering a safe and inclusive environment that values diverse views. Promoting an exceptional internal customer experience and engagement through open communication and partnerships is also key.

Applying both traditional and digital communication channels helps engage the local audience effectively. Partnering with local committees and leaders to create compelling stories for digital platforms enhances our messaging.

Collaboration is vital, not just globally but also within various teams and committees, to ensure consistent messaging. Staying updated with industry trends allows us to adapt our strategies to remain relevant and engaging.

Enhancing LSEG's brand and reputation across the Americas involves conveying our purpose, strategy, and values effectively. Establishing relationships with local team members and handling potential crises with timely and appropriate communication are also important aspects.

Finally, measuring and evaluating the impact of our communication efforts through KPIs helps us track success and adjust strategies as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree or professional qualification in Marketing or Management, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and good PR skills.
  • Hands-on experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), web-based information gathering and social media savviness.
  • Prior experience using applications such as Poppulo (For internal Communications) and Canva would be an added advantage.
  • A fast learner with a confident personality and a positive attitude.
  • Skilled in creative writing, preferably with prior experience in journalism.
  • Able to deliver tight deadlines and a great collaborator.

Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only):

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $96,900 - $180,100. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match. LSEG's Benefits plan also includes basic life insurance, disability benefits, emergency backup dependent care, adoption assistance commuter assistance etc.
