This opportunity is in the Account Services Department.

Responsible for seeing policies through to the finish line, our Account Services department facilitates the operational processes between Claims, Underwriting, and our brokers. Ranging from rating services to audits to operational guidance, the available career opportunities are abundant with varying levels of specialty. Role Description:

The Director of Construction Insurance Operations is responsible for leading day-to-day operations and supervising a team within the Insurance Operations unit focused on supporting Safety National's Construction insurance practice. This role emphasizes client support excellence, data integrity, process accuracy, and collaboration with leadership to advance operational initiatives and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop the Account Services Insurance Operations unit, including training, performance reviews, and morale-building to ensure high standards of customer support.
  • Process Improvement: Lead efforts to streamline workflows and implement enhancements, supporting seamless and accurate operations.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient handling of Construction insurance products, including Wrap-Ups, by analyzing staffing and resource needs and implementing processes to meet demands.
  • Client Focus: Foster a client-centric environment that emphasizes quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Use metrics analysis to meet and exceed service standards.
  • Policy & Procedures: Assist in evaluating and defining departmental policies and operational procedures, emphasizing continuous improvement.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and participate in projects related to new systems and applications, ensuring operational requirements are met. Conduct or oversee User Acceptance Testing for system updates.
  • Special Projects: Manage additional assignments to support broader departmental objectives.


Education:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Advanced Education in the fields of business, marketing, finance or risk management strongly preferred.


Required Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of experience in Property/Casualty Insurance or other financial industry customer operations / servicing experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing and/or directing customer operations / client support to include managing personnel
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Construction products (including Wrap-Ups)
  • In-depth understanding of insurance industry's regulatory environment and requirements
  • Willingness to adhere to a hybrid work schedule with a maximum of 2 days per week of work from home and 3 days per week in office or visiting brokers and clients
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel


      Preferred Qualifications:



      • Background in Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto and General Liability
      • Insurance designations are a plus (to include CPCU, CLCS, AINS, AIS, etc).

It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
