Mansfield Service Partners is looking for an Equipment Technician with a Class A CDL for our Roseville/Loretto , MN location.

Essential Duties:

  • Follow all CDL driving standards based on DOT and Mansfield requirements
  • In certain regions, person will be required to operate a tractor and sliding axel trail eze 53' trailer
  • In certain regions, person will be required to operate knuckle boom crane to set and remove tanks from customer locations
  • In certain regions, person will be required to operate a roll back wrecker to set and move tanks
  • Operate a 20,000lb winch
  • Experience in tying down equipment on a flatbed trailer
  • Deliver skid tanks ranging in sizes 500 Gallons - 20,000 gallon tanks
  • Pickup Skid Tank that has Hazardous residue in them ranging 500 gallon - 20,000 gallon tanks
  • Run service calls, rig outs, and stage tanks

Other Duties:

  • Provides and maintains fuel and lubricant related equipment through installations, service calls, repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections.
  • Utilizes computerized fuel management systems to manage fuel disbursements.
  • Samples services for fuel and lubes.
  • Performs field inspections and maintenance of both Mansfield and customer owned tanks and related equipment (fleet pumps, hoses, nozzles, and related equipment).
  • Rigs out tanks to customer specification.
  • Identifies and reports customer service, equipment, and SH&E issues to supervisor.
  • Establishes and follows procedures and protocols; maintain consistency in work process.
  • Maintains Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) compliance requirements.
  • Removes old and damaged decals off tanks.
  • Cleans tanks inside and outside and clean containment pan within the contained area.
  • Paints cleaned out tanks and containment pans.
  • Manages work area free of trash and garbage.
  • Manges tank staging area organized by tank size.
  • Cleans up service spills.
  • Inspects gasoline and diesel dispensers for any visible leaks on hoses and nozzles.
  • Inspects all storage tank lids to confirm they are locked and tight.
  • Inspects fuel island area three times daily.
  • Submits daily inventory reports.
  • Recognizes sales opportunities and communicate to supervisor, or other company personnel, as directed.

Physical and Environmental Conditions:

The position is located in an outdoors environment frequent encounters dirt and dust, noise and vibration, fumes and odors and wetness/humidity. May be frequently exposed to mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. This position may require travel via vehicle and airplane. Employee may be required to sit for long periods of time. The incumbent frequently lifts up to 25 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. This position does not generally require long hours and weekend work, but it may be necessary on occasion. Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%.

Minimum Education, Experience and Certification

  • Two (2) years in Driving experience, operating a Winch Truck or Trailer
  • One (1) year mechanical experience (automotive, industrial machinery, valves, pumps)
  • One (1) year experience with fuel and lube pumps, nozzles, & fittings
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Class A CDL with air brakes HazMat Tanker Endorsement Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must possess effective written and oral communication skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving techniques and skills
  • Establishes and follows procedures and protocols; maintains consistency in work process
  • Experience with pumps and strong mechanical and technical abilities a plus
