RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Possess a record of safe work practices with a team approach.
  • Ability to properly use hand tools, shop tools and test equipment.
  • Needs excellent problem-solving ability, be able to analyze and assess complex information.
  • Provides troubleshooting and demand maintenance work on a variety of equipment and systems including centrifuges, compressors, gear boxes, autoclaves, washers, blowers, mixers, reactors, pumps, conveyors, heat exchangers, motor control centers, electronically controlled equipment and instruments, air handlers, overhead doors, along with other equipment related to production and facility operations
  • Read and understand written instructions and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to multi-task while prioritizing emergency equipment issues.
  • Perform breakdown, corrective and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Disassemble problem equipment determining the extent of necessary repairs and repair and/or replace any other worn or defective parts.
  • Work with engineering and production to learn, repair or modify equipment design.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly workstation.
  • Construct, maintain, and repair systems and equipment as needed throughout the facilities.
  • Maintain, install, repair, alter or troubleshoot mechanical systems found within the facilities.
  • Actively participate in facility projects to support the efforts of facility improvements or moves.
  • Ensure documents and maintenance databases are kept up to date and are utilized.
  • Follows reliable methods that are utilized in production processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations, polices, and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding all established quality standards.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

5-10 years of experience in the field

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED (IF ANY):

State Certified Electrician License C-10

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
  • General office or test lab environment with exposure to sudden, loud noises
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
