JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Palmer Museum of Art at Penn State seeks applicants for part-time data collectors funded by Art Bridges COVES. COVES data collectors are frontline customer service staff who report to the Visitor Experience Manager and contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for museum visitors by taking post-visit surveys. Data collectors invite departing visitors to share feedback on their museum experience, record demographics, and offer fond farewells and wayfinding. In partnership with Security staff and the rest of the Visitor Services team, data collectors participate in providing an exceptional, visitor-centered museum experience for all. Qualifications: Some customer service experience is required. Must be able to communicate with a wide range of individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Experience offering customer service to patrons with disabilities; knowledge of Microsoft Office365, including SharePoint; and/or an interest in art and museums is a plus. Candidates speaking more than one language are encouraged to apply. Museum hours are Wednesday through Sunday, approximately 11AM to 5PM, with extended hours until 8PM on Thursdays. Applicants must have consistent weekend availability and the ability to work at least some evenings for events and programs. The pay rate is $15 per hour for approximately 5 hours a week.
