We promote a culture of equity and inclusion, wherein everyone is welcome; everyone is respected; everyone's opinion and contributions are valued; and everyone strives for excellence in themselves, in their colleagues, and in the institution. We are seeking innovative, knowledgeable, and collaborative individuals to join the student support team to provide communication and coordination for students experiencing a range of multi-faceted individual needs.

The College of Engineering is supportive of flexible work arrangements when aligned with the ability to meet the needs of the unit and the essential duties of the position. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

The individual in this role will serve as the initial point of contact, responding to inquiries and referrals, conducting triage reviews, and communicating the Director's determination of level of coordination and associated next steps based on each student's individual needs. • Conduct information sessions and produce communication to inform students, faculty, and staff about the Coordinated Care Program

  • Maintain and ensure confidentiality of student records

  • Keep up-to-date with college advising philosophies and practices, not only to inform their work in the Coordinated Care Program, but also to be available to mitigate unexpected urgent advising vacancies within the college. This will ensure that the advising capacities will not be more drastically impacted during unexpected or temporary vacancies.

Desired qualities and skills include, but are not limited to:

  • A commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to interface effectively with a diverse community inclusive of students, staff, faculty, and administrators

  • Enthusiasm for working with college students and helping them define and achieve their own successes

  • Strong organizational skills with an interest in utilizing technological tools

  • Demonstrated knowledge of student and identity development; with a specific focus on college-aged students

We are interested in candidates who are:

  • Comfortable with creating something new

  • Comfortable with trying things and adjusting as needed

  • Comfortable communicating with various stakeholders
