Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee asset management and investor reporting for a significant and growing portfolio of single-family build-to-rent community developments across the U.S.
• Work closely with Tricon Investment Team, Development Team, and Operations Team to assure projects perform in line with approved business plans.
• Collaborate with third-party builder/developer partners to assure timely and accurate project performance, tracking, and reporting on development/construction and rental operations.
• Engage with institutional investor partners to communicate the status and performance of projects relative to their approved business plans.
• Assist with the preparation of regular monthly/quarterly reporting and annual meeting materials for institutional investor partners, as well as maintenance of existing project pipelines and investment vehicle performance.

Specific Responsibilities

• Monthly asset management review of consolidated portfolio and project-specific performance and reporting including actual financial and timeline performance to date compared to the approved business plan, evaluation and commentary on project status and variances to the approved business plan, and active problem solving of budget or timeline issues together with Tricon Investment Team and third-party builder/developer partners.

• Quarterly comprehensive asset management review of portfolio and project-specific performance outlining actual financial and timeline performance to date compared to the approved business plan, and evaluation and commentary on project status and variances to the approved business plan, active problem solving of budget or timeline issues together with Tricon Investment Team and third-party builder/developer partners, as well as updating valuation estimates and actuals.
• Ongoing active involvement in the evaluation and approval of new single-family built-to-rent investments, as well as the management and oversight of multiple existing build-to-rent projects in various markets across the U.S.
• Regular engagement with Tricon senior leadership, investor partners, and builder/developer partners.

Qualifications

• Strong interest and understanding of residential real estate development and market fundamentals
• High attention to detail and sense of organization
• Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities and tight deadlines
• Ability to use business acumen to flag anomalies/variances to be discussed with the Tricon Investment Team, Development Team, and Operations Team
• Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Self-starter with a passion for real estate
