At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of the New Shepard program. New Shepard is a reusable suborbital rocket system designed to take astronauts and research payloads past the Karman line - the internationally recognized boundary of space. Through operational reusability, New Shepard supports our mission of lowering the cost of access to space.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will tackle existing material problems for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of New Shepard. You will review production drawings for large complex assemblies, develop processes, select materials, help implement a New Shepard Parts, Materials and Processes Plan and define design requirements. We work closely with quality, design, structures, thermal, integration and manufacturing to optimize designs and processes. Your broad experience in materials & processes support for metallic (e.g. forging, casting, forming, extrusion, plating, corrosion, coating, brazing, anodization, welding, passivation) and non-metallic (e.g. o-rings, seals, lubricants) hardware will be impactful to the team as we refine processes and engineering designs. We get to be involved in all materials and processes related to the New Shepard program! This means you will gain and share diverse experiences across the organization. You will work with the New Shepard Materials and Processes Engineering Manager and work with them to increase program support. Our best team members are flexible in constantly evolving environments, thorough, detail oriented and passionate.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
