Description The Role : The DevOps Engineer will participate in the development of the cloud-based software architecture that supports critical Space infrastructure. This architecture includes components like the authoritative DOD mission environments; data engineering and wrangling pipelines; application pipelines; and APIs and other endpoints to serve Space missions. A strong DevOps Engineer will have a solid computer science/software development background with knowledge of Automation and Data Engineering workflows. Your skills : Demonstrable expertise in software development or software engineering Familiarity with AWS, to include managed services, and data engineering-related tools and services Working knowledge of Python and Java Experience with Agile software development practices and tools such as JIRA and Confluence Experience designing and delivering analytic solutions in cloud environments Familiarity with containerization tools and techniques, container orchestration, and workflow management, to include technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is desired Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and techniques, to include technologies such as Ansible and Jenkins Demonstrable experience supporting the design, development, and deployment of data science environments on classified networks is highly desired Your quals : MUST BE US CITIZEN capable of obtaining Secret, TS, or TS/SCI clearance 4+ years in a software development or software engineering with strong DevSecOps emphasis 4+ years developing and deploying software in an AWS DevOps environment Previous experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Bachelor's Degree (BS) or higher in technical field related to software development Security+ certification strongly preferred Altamira is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
