GENERAL FUNCTION:

Performs business support, and analytical related duties for manager(s) and staff. This position acts as a liaison among the LOB leader, the product team, internal and external partners related to the operational and administrative duties for Commercial transactions; provides project management support, interfacing with internal project managers and other internal partners of a highly responsible and complex nature.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess and prioritize operational and administrative tasks to ensure smooth functioning of the deal process from inception to post- closing
  • Assist with internal reporting functions, expense tracking and deal maintenance and set-up in the internal client customer relationship management system .
  • Guide collaboration, including the strengthening of existing positive relationships Resolves problems of varying complexity and engage appropriate groups
  • Research, analyze data, consider alternate options and make timely decisions to address issues to resolve deal-related problems.
  • Handle administrative duties for the LOB leader and product team members.
  • Coordinate a complexity of calls for internal deal approval.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
  • Serves as a customer service contactfor internal departments and assists in transaction execution as needed.
  • Work requires a self-starter with attention to detail, flexibility in managing competing priorities and an in-depth understanding of company policies, procedures and operations related to underwriting activities across securities products, specifically related to Bond Capital Markets (BCM), Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and Asset Backed Finance (ABF)

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally with concentration in Business, Finance or Accounting.
  • 2+ years Financial Services experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Experience in originating and executing financial transactions is a plus.
  • Analytical skills, critical thinking and verbal and written communication skills.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of Outlook and Excel spreadsheet software. Proficient with technology and ability to learn new applications including commercial loan administration systems.
