Purpose

The Stewardship and Donor Event Coordinator will work with the director of development initiatives and operations to support the implementation and execution of the fundraising, development and advancement goals and initiatives of the College of Education.

Responsibilities

Stewardship Event Support:

  • Provide and oversee logistical support for small and large-scale development events, including planning, execution, communication, vendor relations, and bookkeeping tasks for events to cultivate donor interest in the College of Education. Events may include regional donor engagements, stewardship and alumni receptions, and personalized donor events.
  • Coordinate invitation lists, track RSVPs, and manage event engagement data in VIP.
  • Support the planning and event logistics for Advisory Council meetings and activities.
  • Collaborate with director and CoE event planner on joint college and development events as assigned.

Writing and Correspondence:

  • Draft, edit and review donor stewardship communication such as individualized impact reports, gift anniversary stewardship pieces, and other materials that showcase the impact of donor contributions.
  • Prepare briefings for college leadership for development events and donor engagement activities.

Projects-Based Development Work:

  • As a member of the advancement services team, work on assigned projects to support CoE development endeavors, including but not limited to the annual endowment impact report project, stewardship plaques, as well as tasks and projects in support of development, fundraising and external relations priorities.
  • Work with CoE director of development and campaign operations to support the preparation, editing and organizing of materials for the annual endowment impact report.

Other Support:

  • Provide back-up to both development associate and director. (i.e. gift processing and correspondence, vendor payments).
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least three years of experience in development work or in a related field
  • Strong organization skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working with vendors and event planning
  • Strong judgement and initiative
  • Self-starter that works well as part of a team, effective at prioritizing multiple tasks and initiatives and demonstrates problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • High degree of proficiency in databases and computer applications including Excel, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Four years of experience in development work or in a related field
  • Experience with UT databases such as VIP
  • Experience composing, writing and editing correspondence, publications and presentations
Salary Range

$55,000 + depending on qualifications
