Laboratory Production Supervisor II

As the Production Supervisor in our Bio-Rad Fort Worth, TX site, you will plan leadership and direction in supervising production activities. Plan, coordinate, and oversee all manufacturing functions. This includes scheduling and managing multiple products and meeting completion deadlines. You will update laboratory personnel with information from other departments. Writing and approval of documents at all levels.Trouble shoots and reviews the work of manufacturing personnel. Working in manufacturing lab to produce product when demand requires.

How You'll Make An Impact:



  • Mentor and coach your team to reach business goals and their full potential.
  • Works with R&D to oversee the technical development and production of new products. Reviews all new documentation to confirm it is suitable for large scale manufacturing.
  • Serves as Operations Team Member interacting with QA/RA, R&D, Manufacturing and QC.
  • Manages a moderate size team of 3+ manufacturing associates and manages a team of 2 or more degreed Chemists/Biologists.


What You Bring:



  • 4 year degree in a related field. Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology.
  • 5 years in full time experience in a technically related position.
  • 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, adapts to changes in the work environment, displays orientation to profitability.
  • Requires the ability to self-motivate, organize, execute, present and interpret scientific experiments in a timely manner.
  • Requires ability to make buffers. Step in and perform ship/receive as a back-up.
  • Requires the ability to quickly learn and perform nucleic acid purification, nucleic acid amplification, and molecular biology techniques.
  • Requires the ability to perform large scale process development/improvement projects as well as R&D feasibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Able to meet the requirements of the lab-standing and sitting for extended periods of time, phone and computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50 lb and specific vision ability-close, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,200 - $96,500 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
