General Notes

Purpose

Support Contracts and Procurement team in drafting, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of contracts and amendments for UT System-wide complex and technical procurements.

Responsibilities
  • Applies knowledge of contract administration to prioritize necessary actions and consistently applies policies and practices.

  • Manages varying sources of information and situations to accurately provide solutions.

  • Monitors and controls the flow of work through the procurement and contract systems.

  • Identifies and resolves problems that arise. Assist in conducting needs assessments to determine requirements for the purchase of goods or services.

  • Delivers and develops effective communication that conveys a clear understanding of the unique needs of various customers. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with major course work in business administration or related field and 3- 5 years of relevant experience. One year of college (30 semester hours) may be substituted for one year of the required experience on a year-for-year basis, allowing up to a maximum of 4 years of substituted experience. Contract Manager Certification from a professional purchasing organization. If not certified, must be certified within 18 months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in preparation, administration, and management of complex solicitations and contracts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook along with exposure to document control and/or tracking software.

$30

Employment Eligibility:

Retirement Plan Eligibility:

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
