The role:

SoFi is seeking an Associate to join our Capital Markets team. In this role, you will be deeply involved in a broad range of capital markets functions, including managing loan warehouses, supporting securitization efforts, and optimizing financing capacity. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior managers across the firm, gaining full visibility into SoFi's diverse business activities. Additionally, you will work alongside the Capital Markets team and engage with key external partners, such as institutional investors, rating agencies, and lenders, to drive strategic initiatives and ensure seamless execution of transactions.

What you'll do:



  • Conduct ongoing maintenance of SoFi's loan warehouses and financing capacity needs, including monitoring and documenting the terms of all facilities. This involves actively reviewing deal documents and engaging in negotiations with stakeholders to optimize risk-adjusted terms and improve overall positioning.
  • Perform deep analysis work of collateral and transaction and portfolio performance data to support collateral performance forecasting, investor package preparation, and rating agency package preparation
  • Work with lines of business and other finance teams to develop new product analysis, including portfolio/collateral characteristics, peer group funding analysis and collateral comparison, rating agency report review, and any other information to support new product funding strategies
  • Contribute to the asset-backed securitization and whole loan sale processes across SoFi products, including preparing and reviewing marketing materials, and delivering quantitative and qualitative analyses for various audiences.
  • Support content preparation, communication, and due diligence processes for external stakeholders such as investors, lenders, rating agencies, data systems providers, law firms, trustees, custodians, and accounting firms.
  • Provide operational support to deal execution teams to ensure seamless progression from sourcing to funding of transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including credit, legal, engineering, product, treasury, accounting, servicing, and finance to provide strategic support and align on goals.
  • Support a range of activities related to whole loan sales, asset-backed securitizations, securities financing, unsecured lines of credit, and other future financing initiatives as needed.


What you'll need:



  • 2+ years of relevant experience desired
  • BS/BA in business, finance, accounting, economics or similar technical field
  • Excellent work ethic and willingness to contribute broadly to achieve team and company objectives
  • Strong verbal and written communication as well as technical and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google suites (particularly in Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Previous experience with lending or consumer credit products a plus: mortgages, student loans, credit cards, personal loans, etc.
  • Previous experience with asset-backed securitization data sets a plus: Bloomberg,

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and location.
