Production Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan, direct, and monitor all activities in the warehouse. Each day, you will develop and manage warehouse operations to effectively control the receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of products, systems, and services to customers. You will also showcase your expertise by proposing and managing the annual warehouse budget.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in Mebane, NC.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Operating within the approved budget and managing the warehouse staff activities to optimize resource utilization and determines corrective actions for cost-related issues as necessary.
*Improving warehouse operations using lean practices.
*Planning and optimizing warehouse utilization and inventory.
*Monitoring the storage, delivery, and dispatch of orders and keeping stock control systems up to date; and overseeing stock control and processing orders.

Qualifications for the role
  • Associate's Degree in a related area.
  • 6 years of equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of experience managing or leading people.
  • Demonstrated management of key performance indicators, budget and performance, strategy and implementation, and driving daily results.
  • Demonstrated data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Logistics and inventory management and control experience.
  • Supplier relationship and supply chain management experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or a proven track record in leading continuous improvements projects preferred.
  • Project management skills to lead small Kaizen projects preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of governance and regulations relating to material storage and logistics preferred.
  • Prior experience manufacturing an engineered to order product preferred.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
