Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work on-site of our customers in an end user support capacity providing exceptional customer service.
Here's what you'll do:
- Our Desktop Support Technician will perform a variety of duties in support of end users for IT hardware and/or software. - Using knowledge in all aspects of computer design, functionality, system operation, and infrastructure. - Install and configure network devices (i.e. network printers, scanners, plotters, PCs, etc.). - Troubleshoot problems with network printing and scanning devices. - Perform data termination/ activation in telecommunication closets aka network connect (activation of data drops). Repair and replace data connectors on network cables and data drops. - Assist in the relocation of customer employees on the facility (move PCs and activate data drops in new location). - Troubleshoot network issues with PCs and LAN (duplex mismatches, duplicate IPs, corrupt firewall software, proxy configuration issues, etc.) - Assist with imaging of laptops and PCs for deployment. - Desktop Technicians will be handling moving equipment between sites, imaging, refreshes, data migrations, etc. Could include some break/fix work. - High school diploma or GED - Minimum of 2 years of experience migrating workstations to WIN 9 or 10 - Minimum of 2 years of demonstrating professional desktop support history with a variety of platforms / systems / applications and tools - Minimum of 2 years of LAN/NETWORK connectivity, and basic network connectivity assessment for troubleshooting or setups - Minimum of 2 years of experience in connectivity and telecommunications/networking Here's what sets you apart from other candidates: - Evaluates and tests software programs to verify functionality according to specifications and standards - Demonstrates excellent Customer Service - Operating system expertise - Windows, Unix/Linux, Apple, Network protocol and Image loading protocol Additional Information: * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (company-sponsored) * Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen * In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
