Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to be based out of Hobart, IN. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this person will be responsible for supervising plant maintenance personnel on an off shift. Emphasizing preventative/predictive maintenance and be able to react to plant operation needs in an urgent professional manner.

What you'll do:



  • Support and actively participate in the continuous improvement of the Company's safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Administer and sustain Total Productive Maintenance practices and Preventive Maintenance practices throughout the plant.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and repairs of all equipment and the overall facility.
  • Track and analyze data and implement changes for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
  • Manage and updates operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
  • Ensure up to date training of employees per OSHA and company guidelines.
  • Coordinate activities with all plant departments.
  • Maintain productivity through the management of a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Participate in Lean Daily Manufacturing and 5S activities and promotes the plant Lean culture.
    All other duties as assigned.


What you'll bring:



  • High School Diploma or GED required. Four-year degree or technical degree preferred.
  • Five to seven years supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment required.
  • Industrial Electrical and electronics troubleshooting experience required.
  • Experience in machinery maintenance repair.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate up to 60lbs.
  • Standing and walking up to 12 hours per day.
  • Must pass a drug screen and background.

Within 3 months, you'll:



  • Have completed NFPA-70E (Arc Flash) training.
  • Completed Atkore New Hire Immersion.
  • Have acquired basic tube mill process knowledge.


Within 6 months, you'll:



  • Have participated in a position relevant Kaizen event.
  • Have contributed to the development of the PM and PdM program for the plant.
  • Create, update, and share training materials and documentation.


Within 12 months, you'll:



  • Have acquired significant tube mill process knowledge.
  • Have contributed to successfully achieving various plant and department metrics.
  • Have led and be leading multiple continuous improvement projects, supporting Atkore's short-term and long-term objectives.
