Job Description

The Warehouse Manager is a front leader who directly supports the manufacturing operations as well as the logistics from inbound to outbound. This role is responsible for all staff, processes, and functions related to inbound and outbound functions and internal distribution of Danfoss products within the Louisville Factory Operations. This role will be responsible for maintaining implemented SOPs, training, and managing staff, and will be expected to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Warehouse Manager will progressively develop and lead a team working with purpose and urgency and continuously inspire and motivate the team to want more. The role will also facilitate process improvements and be responsible for meeting business commitments for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following

o Plan and implement activities related to inventory control and receiving

o Ensure implementation and continuously usage of the Warehouse Management System (Zetes)

o Control Inventory levels and adjust minimums if levels are too high or too low

o Monitor days of inventory and inventory turn over rate

o Provide a safe, clean, and secure working environment for all team members.

o Motivate, inspire, and foster teamwork within the inventory and production teams to ensure that performance and productivity targets are achieved.

o Lead and direct personnel including coordinators, gasketers, pickers, and receivers.

o Oversee all Warehouse activities including, but not limited to the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of inventory in accordance with internal production requirements.

o Ensure the proper and timely transactions of all goods movements within the warehouse and internal distribution to production using Axapta transaction.

o Support On-Time Delivery objectives by collaborating with Supply Chain team and Production Team to ensure orders are being prioritized and received on time.

o Participate in meetings with other functions in efforts to understand material flow requirements, to collaborate on more efficient processes, and to maintain clear and open communication.

o Follow-up when necessary to avoid stockouts

o Manages company cycle counting program as defined by the organization. Tracks inventory accuracy and resolves discrepancies.

o Maintain master data information in the ERP system Axapta

o Facilitate root-cause problem solving with employees to overcome obstacles to achieving Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives.

o Develops each team member to become effective in his/her job through training, counseling, and checking results. Administers corrective disciplinary actions as needed.

o Responsible for developing high-performing, flexible team(s). Lead and direct team development through education, training, coaching, mentoring and certification in the execution of improvement priorities and the achievement of key performance indicators.

o Takes responsibility for 5S activities within organization with an emphasis on continuous improvement.

o Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions. Drives change and innovation. Builds continuous improvement culture within team(s).

o Maintain all applicable records.

o Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

o Develop Continuous improvement system within the warehouse

o Bachelor's degree

o Minimum of 5 years Warehouse Managing experience.

o Axapta or SAP experience a plus

o Experience in setting up and maintaining WMS (Warehouse Management System)

o Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Hours and Location

This is a full-time on-site position, 40 hours per week.
