Market Risk Manager

Market Risk Manager, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, New York, NY:

Responsible to provide risk oversight for the Global Equity Businesses. Develop the risk infrastructure. Review significant transactions to help facilitate business and ensure proper risk controls. Manage the market risk reporting process and ensure the accuracy of key risk measurements. Develop and implement analytical tools for understanding risk and explaining risk changes. Implement changes and improvements to the risk processes as required by new regulations and change management. Continuously monitor financial markets and economic conditions to identify emerging risks that could impact the firm. Analyse key trading strategies and products to ensure they are in line with RBCCM risk tolerance and objectives. Raise up issues in the Risk Management space to key stakeholder and proactively resolve them. Investigate risks to provide value-added insight and analysis to senior management on risk trends and concerns. Be the go-to person on designated desks including but not limited to: understanding key risks and P&L changes, and soundness and completeness of all the Risk processes.

Telecommuting: Permitted up to 40%

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $165,000.00 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree in Financial Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in the following:

• Python; and,
• SQL.

Must have 2 years of experience in:

• Equity Derivatives;
• OFSI Capital Adequacy;
• VaR / SVaR / Greeks;
• Global financial markets;
• GitHub; and
• Vertica Database.

Must have 1 year of experience in Tableau.
