Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Restaurant Manager for the beautiful Barton Creek Country Club!

This position is responsible for ensuring proper training and supervision of all personnel. The Outlets Manager is to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures.



Responsibilities

    Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, cleanliness, and guest well-being.
  • Maintain full familiarity with menus and beverage offerings.
  • Ensure completion of side work checklists by all dining room staff.
  • Assist in the overall management of the outlet and supervise assigned shifts.
  • Conduct spot checks on liquor pars and order daily supplies as needed.
  • Hold pre-shift and pre-meal meetings with staff.
  • Follow up on established training steps and observe, teach, and correct staff service in a professional manner.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints, ensuring member and guest satisfaction.
  • Stay on the floor during peak hours to monitor guest experiences.
  • Communicate with guests, receive feedback, and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Examine food preparation and beverage presentation for quality.
  • Manage scheduling, weekly payroll, and forecasting (both weekly and monthly).
  • Participate in interviewing and recruiting new employees as needed.
  • Prepare and follow up on maintenance requests.
  • Monitor food and liquor requisitions, food waste, bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, and ensure bottles are fully emptied daily.
  • Approve paid time off requests.
  • Oversee performance management, including monitoring attendance, conducting annual reviews, facilitating department meetings, and handling disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain work email and respond promptly.
  • Stay informed about the resort property and events.
  • Conduct monthly department and OST meetings.
  • Ensure high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag.
  • Participate in company-required training and champion the Omni/Power of One culture.
  • Adhere to all liquor liability laws and know emergency procedures to prevent accidents.
  • Maintain the condition of the dining room, lobby lounge, morsels, mini bar, and room service areas.
  • Complete environmental checklists for dining rooms
  • Collaborate with the culinary team in creative food presentations, specials, and promotions.
  • Champion and drive the Omni/ALL IN culture.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager, preferably in a 4-star high-volume restaurant or hotel.
  • Prior serving and cash handling experience preferred.
  • Understanding of Food and Beverage financials, including cost and par controls, is preferred.
  • Must be able to manage deadlines efficiently.
  • Understanding and previous experience in culinary training or menu design is a plus.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have and maintain current Texas Food Handlers and TABC certifications.
