JOB SUMMARY:

The Pharmacy Intern is involved day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy Department, including distribution, procurement, and billing operations to provide quality patient care with safe and effective medication management. The Pharmacy Intern assists the pharmacist in providing area-specific and patient-specific medications. Areas of involvement include the following medication therapies: oral, intravenous, chemotherapy, anesthesia, and others. They assist pharmacists in maintaining patient, compliance, or quality assurance records. They assist managers in development and maintenance of policies and procedures, education opportunities, and competency requirements and participate in departmental quality and financial projects. They must be able to work with director, other managers, and staff in meeting department objectives. They must work with Pharmacy administrative staff and all pharmacy team members in meeting department objectives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1 Year Pharmacy Experience Preferred
