Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Irvine, CA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Investigation Technician III, under general supervision, provides technical test support and investigation to the component level of all IFE equipment for the Product Engineering Team as needed and as directed by management.
  • Responds to internal customer technical requests quickly, accurately, and clearly.
  • Troubleshoots to make timely, clear, and accurate recommendations in both oral and written form to internal customers, peers, and management, as well as recommendations to P2 engineers for determination of support strategy.
  • Using technical expertise and a degree of autonomy to determine the root cause, when possible, of tested issues at the component level and make recommendations to correct problems.
  • Maintain or improve product reliability at or above predicted goals by proactively identifying issues whenever possible.
  • Provide regular oral and written reviews of investigation results, analysis, and suggestions for product improvements if appropriate.
  • Provide technical validation regarding replacement part testing or other validation/analysis as needed upon request.
  • Identify product performance issues at the system, hardware, and software level.
  • Develop and maintain adequate metrics to monitor performance.
  • Follow established processes and support improvements in processes as directed.
  • Work as a team member to support all client objectives.
  • Heavy soldering on multilevel PC boards to attach and remove components without harming the board.
  • Read and interpret documents such as schematics, technical drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Pay: $26.00 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week (1st shift: 7AM - 3PM Monday - Friday )

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in board-level analysis to the component level.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in component hardware or root cause analysis
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Soldering, electronic, schematic, technical drawings, and troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in component hardware or root cause analysis in aircraft systems.
  • Ability to learn new programs and processes and be responsible for correctly implementing them in daily tasks.
  • Ability to follow product engineer directions or product support engineer P2 or PSE to perform complete root cause investigations and technical validations and independently follow through the process to completion.
  • Independent worker capable of listening, understanding, challenging, deciding, coordinating, and following up who also works as a supportive team member.
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement (quality, cost, Reliability).
  • Skilled in Electronic Engineering (engineering, service)
  • Project, PowerPoint.
  • Willing to participate in presentations of work to clarify details when needed.
  • Be a self-starter who can give and accept direction appropriately.
  • Capable of prioritizing and balancing multiple complex tasks at once with ease
  • Ability to solve multiple complex electrical problems quickly and deal with various variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to lead Investigations (chronic, reliability) using experience and technical knowledge to guide a balanced and practical approach to resolution.
