GENERAL FUNCTION

As a member of the Real Estate Finance & Administration team, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Directors of Real Estate and the Real Estate team plus the Vice-President and Directors of construction. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the total cost estimation of construction projects and analysis of construction costs trends, project tracking and development of key performance indicators.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Estimates store construction costs.
  • Establishes and maintains a historical cost database for capital and expense spending suitable for estimating and forecasting purposes.
  • Updates departmental templates such as the ICE and component order form.
  • Spots trends and communicates with management department leaders to help manage and control spending.
  • Helps monitor construction spending and KPI tracking by creating and maintaining SAP and/or other reports.
  • Develops complex business reports/analysis.
  • Performs ad hoc analysis in any of the existing data sources to support any business understanding or supports the development of any other system that supports our needs.
  • Develops processes that will maximize the efficiency of financial reporting tools.
  • Effectively communicates the results of analyses to department management and cross-functional partners.
  • Provides potential solutions to problems or next steps for discovered opportunities.



BASIC (REQUIRED) QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business/Construction management
  • 3 to 5 years in Construction Cost Estimation or Construction Management
  • Basic understanding of finance and accounting
  • Interacts with internal and external customers to produce reporting requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to establish proactive working relationships with business partners
  • Ability to rapidly analyze business needs and ensure that applications are utilized to improve business processes
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Proven track record of providing analytical business solution ranging from ad hoc to major projects
  • Extremely proficient with Excel; experience with Word, Essbase and Access programing in VB

Pay Range: 73,149.58-100,909.05

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
