Quality Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist the Quality team in implementing and maintaining a quality system, including conducting audits, establishing controls, training on tools and methodologies. Each day, you will support activities related to quality management within the organizational unit. You will also showcase your expertise by reporting quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and customer cases and maintaining process documentation.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in Pinetops, NC.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Reporting quality issues data, ensuring adherence to quality management system at all stages.
*Acquiring and reporting quality metrics and KPIs accurately and in a timely manner to facilitate the analysis and management of local processes.
*Utilizing measurement systems to produce data that reflect the accurate characteristics of materials, products, systems, and processes.
*Training local operational teams on relevant elements of quality management, supporting implementation, and promoting opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications for the role
  • 3 years of experience in assembly, wiring, and/or fabrication.
  • Ability and willingness to read and interpret technical drawings and models.
  • Skilled in using tools, such as a screwdriver, crimper and air gun.
  • Ability and willingness to climb, stand/walk or sit for long periods of time.
  • Desired experience in SAP, CCRP, Windchill and SharePoint.
  • 1-year experience in quality preferred.
  • Associate degree in a technical study preferred.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
