Title: Customer Support Representative
Location: Charleston, TN
Additional locations may includeMcIntosh, AL.

Salary: $59,300+
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote.

Focus: As a Customer Support Representative, your primary responsibility is to communicate effectively with customers and various business and functional partners to deliver exceptional service and profitability to Olin. You will build successful relationships to align internal resources and capabilities towards achieving zero-defect customer satisfaction. Your role involves managing the entry of orders from initial contact through to delivery, ensuring the correct product arrives on time, under the correct conditions, and with the appropriate paperwork.

In the event of a service failure, you will initiate corrective actions and lead the resolution process for the customer. You are expected to go above and beyond daily customer interactions to build loyalty and confidence. You will determine the service and quality requirements of assigned accounts and coordinate all Olin activities to meet these requirements. Additionally, you will handle routine and non-routine order management activities, display customer advocate leadership, execute systems and technology requirements, and demonstrate accuracy in order entry and problem-solving skills for managing complex orders. You will also raise awareness of any gaps or pain points in work processes, functional interactions, and management systems.

Customer Support Representative II Essential Job Functions:



  • Performs Order Management activities, handle routine and non-routine customer order activities, including managing customer demand, following up on samples, complex order entry (i.e. consignment) guiding and leading activities of the order process utilizing work process, business strategy, and best practice
  • Manages customer inventory, using telemetry or other automated systems, with a high degree of accountability
  • Manages customer accounts and is responsible for all customer needs and inquiries
  • Realizes and anticipates how events and trends are likely to affect the customers' future needs. Leverages many internal resources to optimize customer orders
  • Executes System and Technology requirements by executing complex work processes through multiple systems and technology including SAP, Rail Fleet System, Elemica, Telemetry, and Rail tools
  • Provides product availability, specifications, and schedule information within established guidelines
  • Optimizes freight, prevents pre-buys, and utilizes ship points and package size as well as logistics improvements
  • Serves as a link between customers, logistics, sales, quality, technical services, and accounting to ensure responsiveness


Customer Service Representative II Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;Bachelor's Degree* in Business, Logistics/Transportation, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of Customer Service experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products; Proficient in the use of SAP/ERP systems preferred
  • Outstanding customer service skills and sound judgment
  • Effective time management and ability to handle multiple shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be on-call on a rotating basis (average one week on call per quarter)
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
