Job Summary Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Electrical Engineer I for our Bridgeton, MO facility. Responsibilities include involvement with the design, development, modification, and analysis of various electronic products/systems. Designs include electronic assemblies, rugged cables, and circuit card assemblies. The position will also troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in existing products or systems and make modifications as needed. In addition, they will compile and evaluate design and test data then analyze, develop, and recommend design approaches. Job Responsibilities Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems Support and participate in technical activity May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments Assist other engineers in designing and maintaining system Interface Control Documents (ICD) Ability to work independently under supervision of others Provide regular reporting of progress and status Responsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services Drive the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements Develop prototypes to retire key development risks as directed Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required May participate in preparation of less complex proposals Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field Basic knowledge of engineer principles of design Basic knowledge of computer assisted design (CAD) tools Basic knowledge or experience with engineering drawing applications U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
