Your role and responsibilities
As the Data Management Specialist at ABB, you will have the opportunity to manage the creation, update, maintenance, deletion, and delivery of master data while ensuring that it is consistent and trustworthy. Each day, you will act as the US HR Data's point of contact and support master data management processes. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in programs to optimize business functions through data driven insights. This person will have the opportunity to handle problems and non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interprets guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices. Additionally will need to be capable of identifying and leading process improvements to drive standardization and simplification. This role will work a hybrid schedule (#LI-Hybrid) from the Cary, NC office. You will be mainly accountable for: - Ensuring that master data integrity, cleansing, normalization, and quality is maintained efficiently and accurately in all systems within scope of responsibility. - Assisting in the overall solution of quality issues by participating in the elimination of non-conformance and adopting the approach of 'doing it right the first time'. - Documenting, reviewing, and updating all work procedures pertaining to all aspects of data policies and system maintenance. - Participating in the development, updating, and maintenance of procedures, tools, and metrics.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree (required) and either 5+ years of Data Management, 8+ years of Human Resources, or a combination of equivalent experience.
- Expert level knowledge of Workday/SAP HR (OM, PA, Reporting).
- Previous experience working in organizations of 10,000+ employees strongly preferred.
- Ability to work cross-functionally as well as independently.
- Ability to understand the interdependencies and interconnections between various HR processes.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
